NEED for AI:

 

AI could definitely help S2P to design the tracks automatically and randomly for defense, aerospace, payment and medical industries: it takes several weeks/months for an Engineer to design a full 3D complex mesh.

AI REGIO SOLUTION:

 

Developing a design tool able to “route” randomly the tracks in 3D depending of initial constraints (geometry, size of the tracks, number of tracks intermeshed, contact points with the electronic board) and performing functional testing of demonstrators.

EXPECTED BENEFITS - The proposed solution offers:

Anti-Tampering Devices for Connected Objects

 

This experiment will construct an anti-tempering device to protect connected objects and the confidential information contained in their memories (e.g. bank, military, medical, personal data) from theft. To avoid physical data theft, on top of the electronics chips and boards, we add a sensor to detect any physical intrusion in the system: if the track is broken, the data are erased from the memory. It is difficult to add the tracks in 3D everywhere on the cover in order to make it even more difficult for pirates to enter the system.

SWARM Experiment

​

The SWARM platform aims to enable building blocks to digitalise the life cycle, project management, collaborative conception and additive manufacturing prototyping. This experiment deals with innovation tracks from idea to design, from design to a digital model from a digital to a physical prototype. In the case of smarts plastics products, the goal is to shorten the engineering cycle and investigate a large panel of product option and to bring services to SMEs for new products and processes design.

NEED for AI:

 

SWARM plans to use AI to continual improvement of some issues in the base of historical project execution and rule bases system, especially for plastic products. SWARM will explore a variety of AI techniques that can be used with those subtasks to improve the design process and the interaction between various industrial skills.

In the context of AI REGIO, SWARM  expect to examine whether it is possible to introduce enhancement on decision making with the help of a AI.
