NEED for AI:

 

The need for an AI-based 3D metal printing quality forecast tool arises from the desire to predict and prevent possible manufacturing defects on selective laser melting machines used in additive manufacturing.

AI REGIO SOLUTION:

This AI-based solution will enable manufacturing SMEs to increase efficiency, reduce raw material usage, and decrease scrap, while also enhancing the AI community building and strengthening the service portfolio offered to SMEs by DIHs.

EXPECTED BENEFITS:

 

The expected outcome is to deliver an AI-based solution that allows SMEs to produce more efficiently, minimize raw material usage, and reduce scrap, while also enhancing the AI community building and strengthening the service portfolio of ISDIH.

The project aims to create an AI-based 3D metal printing quality forecast tool, which can predict defects in manufacturing on selective laser melting machines. A manufacturing SME in Hungary, TCT Hungary Ltd, a DIH, Innoskart DIH (ISDIH), and a technology provider, Thinkspace technologies Ltd, UK will collaborate on this project.
